UPIK is a key institution in Uganda, dedicated to training highly qualified professionals in the petroleum and energy sectors. By integrating EDIBON’s advanced equipment into its training programs, UPIK is able to provide its students with hands-on experience and prepare them to excel in real-world engineering and technical challenges.
The following EDIBON applications have been successfully installed in UPIK:
- Application of Advanced Alternating Current Electric Motors (AEL-ACEMT): This system equips students with the knowledge and skills necessary to analyze and operate alternating current motors, a critical component in many industrial and energy systems.
- Electric Motor Energy Efficiency Application (AEL-EEEM): Designed to teach energy optimization techniques, this application focuses on reducing energy consumption while maintaining performance, a critical issue in sustainable energy practices.
- Protective Measures in Electrical Installations (AEL-PMEI): This application ensures that students understand the key safety measures required for electrical installations, emphasizing reliability and safety in their designs and operations.
- Application of Automatic Control Operations II (AEL-CM3): Introducing advanced concepts in automation, this application provides students with the experience necessary to design and implement automatic control systems used in various industries.
This collaboration would not have been possible without the dedication of the people who supported the project from inception to completion. We extend our sincere thanks to Nelson Friday, Christopher Niwamanya and Abdulhamid Ibrahim Hamad for their tireless efforts and commitment to ensure the successful installation and integration of these applications.
Thanks to this joint effort, UPIK is now better equipped to offer a world-class technical education, enabling its students to acquire the skills necessary to succeed in the oil and energy industries.
At EDIBON, we are proud to contribute to the global advancement of education and look forward to more opportunities to support institutions like UPIK in their mission to shape the future of engineering and technical professionals.
