Setting up at the University of Cyprus

EDIBON has completed a new installation at the Department of Mechanical Engineering of the University of Cyprus, reinforcing its commitment to supporting engineering education and research in renewable energy technologies.

The installation includes the Computer Controlled Photovoltaic Solar Energy Unit (EESFC), an educational system specifically designed to provide students and researchers with practical experience in photovoltaic energy conversion. The unit demonstrates the photoelectric conversion principle by directly transforming solar radiation into electrical energy. To ensure controlled and repeatable laboratory experiments, the required energy input is generated through simulated solar radiation using a panel equipped with high-intensity solar lamps.

At EDIBON, we believe that practical laboratory training plays a fundamental role in preparing future engineers to address the challenges of the global energy transition. Through advanced educational equipment such as the EESFC, universities can provide high-quality learning experiences while promoting innovation and research in sustainable energy.

We would also like to thank Edquip for their excellent cooperation in supplying this equipment. We value the strong partnership we have built together and look forward to continuing our collaboration through future educational and technological initiatives that contribute to advancing engineering education worldwide.
