Setting up at the Centro Industrial y de Energías Alternativas – SENA Guajira.

At the Industrial and Alternative Energy Center – SENA La Guajira , we had the honor of installing the country’s first wind energy laboratory, marking a milestone in technical education in Colombia. This center is a benchmark in technological education, preparing thousands of students in strategic areas for the nation’s energy future.

This unique laboratory will benefit more than 25,000 people, including students, instructors, and the wider community, establishing itself as a driving force of knowledge and progress for the region. Thanks to La Guajira’s strategic location, which is becoming the epicenter of wind energy in Colombia, students will experience firsthand the importance of clean energy, understanding how it contributes to improving quality of life and advancing the energy transition.

In this laboratory, we installed our Wind Power Plants with Wind Power Plants with Double Feed Induction Generator Application (AEL-WPP), Computer Controlled Wind Power Plants Application with Induction Generator (AEL-WPPI-C), and other equipment from our wind energy area, such as the Stand-Alone Wind Turbine Aplication (AEL-SWT) ,the Wind Power Application with Permanent Magnets Synchronous Generator (AEL-WPT), and the Computer Controlled Wind Energy Unit (EEEC). Additionally, we incorporated our Microgrid Power Systems training equipment (AEL-MGP), offering students the opportunity to learn using state-of-the-art technology and practical simulations.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to SENA for their trust and commitment to this project, which will undoubtedly help train the future professionals who will lead the energy transition in Colombia.
