Today, we would like to share an exciting update regarding the latest installation we have completed at the Centre de Formation Professionnelle Avancée en Énergies Renouvelables de Yopougon (METFPA) in Ivory Coast. This installation represents a significant step in our mission to provide high-quality equipment for renewable energy training, thereby contributing to educational and professional development in the region.
At METFPA, we have installed several of our energy-related equipment, including:
- Computer Controlled Photovoltaic Solar Energy Unit (EESFC): This unit allows students to learn about the conversion of sunlight into electricity and understand the principles behind photovoltaic energy.
- Computer Controlled Thermal Solar Energy Unit (EESTC): This unit provides knowledge about the collection and utilization of thermal solar energy, an essential component for energy sustainability.
- Computer Controlled Biomass Process Unit (EBMC): Students can explore the conversion of biomass into energy, offering them practical insights into renewable energies and their potential for sustainable development.
- Computer Controlled Biogas Process Unit (EBGC): This unit teaches students how to transform organic waste into biogas, a valuable resource that promotes a circular economy.
Additionally, we are excited to highlight the installation of our AEL-KNX unit with several of its applications. This unit represents a unique opportunity for students, educators, and automation professionals to delve into the development of KNX building automation projects, the interconnection of KNX devices, and programming using the ETS software tool.
Among the notable applications of the AEL-KNX unit, we can mention:
- KNX Lighting Control Training Application (AEL-KNX-LIC): This application provides training on how to implement and manage efficient and sustainable lighting control systems.
- KNX HVAC Control Training Application (AEL-KNX-HVAC): Students learn to manage heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems, contributing to energy efficiency in buildings.
- KNX Security Control Training Application (AEL-KNX-SFC): This application covers crucial aspects such as fire protection, intrusion detection, and flooding, preparing students to face security challenges in building automation.
All these pieces of equipment are operated through our SCADA system, making training much more practical and accessible for students. The integration of SCADA allows for the simulation of real-world scenarios, providing students with an immersive learning experience that enhances their skills and knowledge in the fields of renewable energies and automation.
We would like to thank METFPA for trusting us to equip their facilities and for contributing to the development of future generations of professionals in the energy sector. We are excited about the opportunities these installations will provide for students and look forward to seeing the results of this collaboration in the future.
Thank you for trusting us!
