Thanks to this technology, the waste is transformed into:  <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>High-purity cellulose<\/strong>, used in paper, textiles, sugars, and biofuels.<\/li>\n<li><strong>High-purity lignin, employed in resins<\/strong>, insulating materials, or as an alternative to graphite in batteries.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Furfural<\/strong>, a key chemical compound for the production of plastics, resins, and other industrial materials.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The process uses <strong>gamma-valerolactone (GVL<\/strong>), a <strong>green solvent<\/strong> that is almost entirely recovered, reducing environmental impact while<strong> ensuring the technical and economic feasibility<\/strong> of the process. The plant will be able to process up to <strong>two tons of biomass per year<\/strong>, with an estimated output of<strong> 500\u20131,000 kg of cellulose<\/strong>, <strong>200\u2013500 kg of lignin<\/strong>, and <strong>100\u2013300 kg of furfural.<\/strong>  <\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\r\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\r\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-c5ccbf8 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"c5ccbf8\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\r\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\r\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Collaboration and Gratitude to CSIC<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\r\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\r\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-417e05a elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"417e05a\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\r\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\r\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>At EDIBON, we would like to <strong>thank CSIC for trusting our facilitie<\/strong>s to carry out this innovative project.
