Setting up at the Department of Civil Engineering at the PNGUOT.

At EDIBON, we have completed a new installation at the Department of Civil Engineering at the Papua New Guinea University of Technology (PNGUOT). This collaboration has allowed us to bring our expertise in advanced laboratory equipment to an institution committed to excellence in engineering education.

On this occasion, we had the honor of installing two of our leading equipment in the fields of water treatment and hydrology, equipment designed to provide students and instructors with a comprehensive, hands-on learning experience.

The first of these is the Computer Controlled Water Treatment Plant 2 (PPTAC/2). This equipment allows users to simulate a real water treatment plant, providing the opportunity to practically demonstrate two essential water treatment operations: depth filtration and ion exchange. With the PPTAC/2, students can observe how water is purified, understand the principles behind each process, and gain first-hand experience with computer-controlled variables that replicate real-world scenarios.

The second installed system is the Hydrological Systems, Rainfall Simulator and Irrigation Systems (2×1 m) [ESH(2x1m)]. This system is designed to demonstrate the fundamental physical processes found in hydrology and fluvial geomorphology. Through it, students can observe how rainfall affects different types of soil, how streams and rivers form, and how efficient and sustainable irrigation techniques can be applied in controlled environments. This equipment provides a solid foundation for understanding complex phenomena related to water and its management.

We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to the PNGUOT team for trusting EDIBON to equip their laboratories and for their commitment to quality education. We also wish to make a special mention of our distributor, IKAD INTERNATIONAL, whose support was essential in successfully carrying out this installation.

This collaboration reinforces our mission to provide educational solutions that bridge theory and practice, training professionals capable of addressing current challenges in civil engineering, water treatment, and hydrology. We are proud to continue growing alongside institutions around the world and to contribute to the education of the next generation of engineers committed to sustainability and innovation.
