At EDIBON, we continue to strengthen our international presence through the installation of advanced educational equipment.
. On this occasion, we collaborated with the Department of Paper Science and Chemical Engineering of the College of Natural Resources at the University of Wisconsin–Stevens Point (UWSP), where our Computer Controlled Continuous Distillation Unit (UDCC) has been installed.
Distillation is an essential unit operation in chemical engineering and is widely used across multiple industrial sectors. For this reason, having equipment that enables hands-on study is key to students’ technical training. The UDCC has been designed to provide a comprehensive learning experience, allowing users to analyze mixture behavior, the influence of operating variables, and process efficiency under controlled conditions.
Thanks to its integration with control and data acquisition systems, the unit enables real-time monitoring, promoting active learning that bridges theory and practice. Equipment like this contribute to the development of fundamental technical skills required in professional environments.
At EDIBON, we would like to thank the University of Wisconsin–Stevens Point for placing their trust in us. It is an honor to contribute to the education and training of future professionals at such a prestigious institution.
