EDIBON Advanced Electrical Grid Simulation Laboratory

We are proud to announce the official inauguration of the EDIBON Advanced Electrical Grid Simulation Laboratory at Alfred University (USA) —a facility designed, manufactured, and sponsored by EDIBON. Bearing our name, this laboratory represents a major milestone in the advancement of research and technical education in renewable energy, energy storage, and smart grids.

The EDIBON Advanced Electrical Grid Simulation Laboratory is equipped with a state-of-the-art network control and distributed energy system developed by EDIBON, offering students and researchers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies in renewable generation, advanced energy storage, and smart microgrid operation. This facility allows users to simulate real-world scenarios of hybrid energy systems, analyze performance, and better understand the dynamics of modern electrical networks.

At the core of this new facility is the AEL-MGP (Microgrid Power Systems Training Equipment), which integrates various energy sources including Conventional Energy (PWP-CE), Hydroelectric (PWP-HE), Wind (PWP-WE), Photovoltaic (PWP-PE), Battery Storage (PWP-BE), and Flywheel Energy Storage (PWP-FE). This comprehensive system offers a practical and immersive educational experience, enabling users to study the interaction between renewable sources and energy storage systems within a smart grid environment.

With this initiative, Alfred University, one of the leading institutions in renewable energy and engineering in the United States, reinforces its commitment to innovation, hands-on learning, and leadership in clean energy. The laboratory also was officially presented during the AUEnergy Conference, an event that brings together professionals, researchers, and students to discuss the future of sustainable technologies.
